A pioneer in the Indonesia futures market

The story of Valbury Group began with PT Halim Danamas International, which engaged in currency trading in the Indonesian market in the ‘90s. PT Halim Danamas International helped pioneer the Jakarta Futures Exchange in order to accommodate the growing Indonesian futures market.

The shareholders of PT Halim Danamas International established PT Catur Pilar (CP) to expand its product offerings to clients. CP, which would later be renamed as PT Valbury Asia Securities Securities (VAS) in 2004, was registered with the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

In compliance with regulations, PT Valbury Asia Futures (VAF) was established as a separate entity to provide trading services for the Indonesian futures market.

Through CP, Valbury Group opened its first branch in Medan, Sumatra, the beginning of its national network.

Valbury Group launched its first mutual fund called Reksadana Valbury Inklusi, and opened its first branch in Kalimantan.
