Jakarta, 2 June 2026 – The Eid al-Adha season always serves as a reminder of the importance of sharing. This year, Valbury is bringing joy by distributing sacrificial meat to communities across various regions of Indonesia. It is not merely an annual tradition, but also about how the act of sharing becomes all the more meaningful amidst economic conditions that remain challenging for some members of the community.
The #ValburyBerbagi programme, which aims to spread joy during Eid al-Adha, is part of Valbury’s commitment to social responsibility, particularly towards those in need. By reaching out to communities in Medan, Makassar, Jakarta and Surabaya, the company is striving to ensure that the joy of Eid al-Adha is felt by a wider audience.
Eid al-Adha is always an important occasion for reinforcing the values of empathy and togetherness. “Eid al-Adha teaches us about sincerity and compassion. We hope that what we are distributing today will bring happiness and strengthen the sense of togetherness between employees and the local communities at each Valbury branch,” said Caroline Haryono, Head of Marketing & Communication at Valbury.
Together with employees, the organising committee, mosque officials and local residents, the sacrificial meat was distributed to those in need in the surrounding community, ranging from densely populated residential areas and informal worker communities to a number of areas that have long faced hardship.
In Makassar, for example, there was a touching atmosphere as employees and residents worked together to distribute the sacrificial packages from early in the morning. Meanwhile, in Surabaya, the public’s enthusiasm was evident from the large number of residents who helped with the distribution process until it was completed.
More than just an annual event, the #ValburyBerbagi programme is also hoped to strengthen the spirit of social solidarity within an increasingly dynamic urban community.
Valbury wishes to emphasise that the company’s success is not measured solely by business performance, but also by its contribution to creating sustainable and far-reaching social impact for the people of Indonesia.
